Nisha Krishnan-Patel
Nisha Krishnan-Patel is the Manager of Communication Development and Feeding Services at the Children’s Treatment Network (Children’s Treatment Centre for York Region and Simcoe County). Nisha recently completed the Development and Success for Promising Leaders course, hosted by Veronica Lacey and Associates and held in partnership with the Smith School of Business at Queen’s University. Nisha shared her learning experience:
”Over the past few months, I’ve valued the interactive and reflective learning experience, gaining a practical leadership toolkit applicable to the complexity of children’s rehabilitation and the broader non-profit sector. The program deepened my focus on self-leadership skills through mindfulness, strengthening my awareness of how I show up in different situations with purpose and intention. The focus on coaching framework for leaders was particularly powerful, equipping me with effective strategies to harness my developmental bias, optimize team potential, and create genuine opportunities for growth. The program also provided a strong foundation in complex decision-making, systems thinking and operational effectiveness strategies.
This program created a valuable space to pause, reflect, and learn alongside peers working in similarly complex and diverse environments in the non-profit sector. The combination of strong mentorship, practical content, and reflective discussion supported both individual growth and a shared understanding of leadership.”
Congratulations Nisha!
